About Us

What We Offer

We offer support for alcohol and drugs for people in Sheffield.

We can support you to achieve your goals around your alcohol and/or drug use through a range of treatments. That might be stopping completely or just cutting down. You can set your own goals. 

Our experienced and professional teams work with individuals to plan their own recovery journey from drugs and/or alcohol. This might be fast track or longer-term recovery work. Everyone is allocated a dedicated key worker to support them throughout their treatment.

The services we offer people coming into treatment include:

  • One-to-one support
  • Health and wellbeing checks, health screenings, blood testing and vaccinations from our medical team
  • Support for family members and friends with our weekly Concerned Others Drop-in
  • Support on reducing the harm of drugs and overdose prevention
  • Substitute medication for certain drugs
  • Detox within the community/at home or at a rehab centre
  • Recovery Hub – group activities, support and events for those who are starting their recovery journey.
  • Breakfast Club – a daily free breakfast club ran by our recovery hub for those who are interested in recovery

  • Concerned About Others Drop-in

    Are you affected by someone else's alcohol or drug use? Our support session can help you
    Our Concerned Other Drop-in runs every Thursday (5.15pm-6.30pm) and is a chance to receive support, advice and guidance. Come along for a cup of tea or coffee, don’t face it alone!

  • Independent Placement Support

    Employment can be part of your Recovery Journey

  • The Juice Clinic

    A clinic for those using Image Performance Enhancing Drugs
    Book an appointment to access blood tests, get harm reduction advice and sterile injecting equipment for those using performance enhancing drugs, every Thursday, 5pm-7pm, at Likewise Sheffield.

     

  • Criminal Justice

    Our CJ team here to support those who are going through Criminal Justice system

    Our Criminal Justice team support those who are going through the criminal justice system to make positive changes to their drug an/or alcohol use as part of their sentencing option. 

     

     

  • Needle Exchange and Harm Reduction

    Come to our needle exchange any time, for needles and harm reduction advice

    We offer harm reduction support and advice in our needle exchange. You don’t need to be receiving help from us to access our needle exchange, just come along any time and there will be a staff member on hand to offer you advice and support.

  • Health and Wellbeing Support

    Help with your health alongside treatment

    Alongside treatment we also offer health and wellbeing support. Such as healthcare assessments, wellbeing checks, health screenings, Nictotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) to help with stopping smoking, blood testing and vaccinations from our medical team.

  • Naloxone

    Get a naloxone kit to reverse effects of overdose

    Naloxone is a life-saving medication and staff at Likewise can provide take-home naloxone kits to anyone in Sheffield who feels they need one.

    For anyone who needs it, a member of our staff can give you a kit, and show you how to use it to reverse opioid overdoses, giving time for medical help to arrive. Naloxone training can take as little as 10 minutes.

    We also offer naloxone training to professionals, to book your place give us a ring.

  • Recovery Hub

    Support for those starting their recovery journey

    The Recovery Hub offers a diverse timetable of groups, activities and events, as well as a daily free breakfast club. Go to our Facebook to find out what’s on.
