We are a Community Interest Company (CIC) responding to people in State of Crisis within Our Communities, Single parents, Widows and Widowers Offering Bereavement Support.
Life After Crisis started at the height of COVID as we recognised the need in the community at that time for people people to reconnect, and reintegrate, at look at ways of improving their mental health and wellbeing.
To assist, support, encourage, counsel and advocate for people.
We are touching lives and making a difference.
Love and respect people irrespective of who they are.
Communicate, encourage, and enlighten them
so that they can feel valued as members of the community.
Listen and respect their opinions.
‘Care Cafe’ groups are run every other Saturday providing different activities each session.
Firth Park Library – Every other Saturday 11:30 – 14:00. The overall aim of the Care Cafe is to re-orientate the mind of people that have been psychologically traumatised.
The activities we cover in the Care Cafe focus on health, wellbeing and mindfulness, as well as physical activities such as chair aerobics, singing and dancing.
We also cover talks on specific issues such as bereavement and other mental health issues to help our clients be aware of their health issues and be able to address them.
We are also looking to start Afro-beat dance exercises starting in September. This may be in the evenings but please re-visit the page for further details. This will be open to all.
Location: Firth Park library from 11:30 – 14:00
